AASLD Meeting
The American Association for the study of Liver Disease Meeting was held in Boston on Friday November 8, 2019. The purpose of this conference was to bring scientists and health care professionals who are committed to preventing and curing liver disease together to celebrate their triumphs over this past year and to learn more about their ongoing efforts to cure liver disease.
Passion Constellation
The logo for the event was created with the idea of a constellation in mind. Many pieces coming together to form one shining purpose. We wanted to bring this piece to life by creating a game in which the attendees could take a piece of string to highlight and connect their passions.
Inspriation
Logo
The inspiration of the logo focuses on the idea of a constellation, with many parts coming together to form one visual element. This theme was created for the event because it brought all-star individuals to together in one space for “One Shining Purpose”. The logo has constellation points that form the shape of a liver and with the lowest part of the form connecting to the word ‘One’ in the type area. We further highlighted this word it by making it red and adding a glow to give the logo a luminous effect and to further echo the over-arching spirit of the event
Supporting visual
The lines converge to the central focal point, which glows to highlight ‘one’ moment.
The lines have nodes / stars that float outside or work towards the central focal point, showing movement of drawing inwards. The different colors symbolize a variety of backgrounds coming together for a singular purpose.
Lineweight of converging lines should always echo or be less than the lineweight of the logo —never overpowering the logo—even when used at larger sizes.
